  • How large of tank can you pump?

Our company operates two vacuum trucks with capacities of 2500 and 3800 gallons, allowing us to service a wide range of septic tanks, grease traps, and lift stations in a single visit. For tanks exceeding our truck capacity, we can dispatch multiple vehicles to complete the job efficiently. Rest assured, we have the equipment and expertise to handle tanks of any size.
  • How often should my septic tank get pumped?

We generally recommend pumping your septic tank every 3 to 5 years. However, larger households with multiple bathrooms may require more frequent servicing. For commercial properties, annual pumping or inspection is advisable. It's also prudent to have the septic system pumped and inspected during real estate transactions involving properties with septic systems.
  • What types of septic systems do you have?

In our central Colorado service area, we encounter various septic system types including conventional systems, chamber systems, drip distribution systems, aerobic treatment units, and mound systems. If you're unsure about your system type, our technicians can identify it upon arrival and provide appropriate service.
  • How do I know if my tank needs to be pumped?

For a typical family of four, pumping is usually needed every 3-5 years, but may be more frequent for larger households. Signs that pumping is needed include sewage backups, foul odors from tanks or fields, and visible water seepage. You can also check scum and sludge levels yourself. The scum layer at the top shouldn't exceed 8-10 inches, while the bottom sludge layer should be less than 12 inches deep. If you're unsure, our team can assess your tank and provide professional recommendations.
  • Will you be able to reach my septic tank?

Our trucks are equipped with 200 feet of vacuum hose, enabling us to service tanks within this range. For distances beyond 200 feet, we can provide hose extensions. We prioritize minimizing damage to your property and will follow your preferred route to access the tank. Please inform our driver of any specific instructions for navigating your property.
  • Do you offer septic tank inspections?

Yes, we provide comprehensive septic system inspections. Our service includes examining the tank, drain fields, pump, and distribution boxes. These inspections are beneficial for addressing concerns or troubleshooting issues with your septic system.
  • Do you pump out RV septic tanks?

While we primarily focus on residential and commercial septic systems, we may be able to accommodate RV septic tank pumping in certain situations. This service is more feasible if your RV is located on our existing service route or in an RV park we already serve. For inquiries about RV septic pumping, please contact our office at (720) 312-7084.
  • Are baby wipes ok to flush down the toilet?

Flushing baby wipes is strongly discouraged. We frequently respond to emergencies involving septic systems overflowing into homes, often due to baby wipe accumulation. While a few wipes may not cause immediate issues, regular flushing can lead to system clogs, backups, and potential damage. For the health of your septic system, it's best to dispose of baby wipes in the trash.
  • What should I do to prepare for my service?

To prepare for your service appointment with Ley Septic, please ensure clear access to your septic tank. Remove any obstacles or landscaping that may impede our technicians' ability to reach the tank. If you're unsure of your tank's location, we can assist you in locating it prior to the service date. Additionally, it's helpful to have any relevant paperwork or previous service records available for our technicians to review.

  • Do you offer any guarantees or warranties for your work?

This warranty covers any issues directly related to our service for a specified period after completion.
